Welcome to the Photographic Situation

Welcome to the blog supporting the international research network exploring the photographic situation, and the work that photographs do in the public sphere. The network brings together colleagues from around the world, with project hubs in Toronto, Canada and Durham, UK. We will be blogging on a regular basis about our work in progress, and our reflections on the role of the photographic image in the political and emotional economy of contemporary cultures and cultural exchange.
